Job summary

Brown University Health in Providence, RI seeks a Pharmacist-Clinical Specialist to oversee pharmacy clinical services under supervision of the Pharmacist-In-Charge and Senior Clinical Pharmacist Specialist. Coordinate programs, monitor drug use, and support policy development.

The ideal candidate holds a PGY-2 residency with board certification (or equivalent 2 years of clinical experience), plus strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college.
Current unrestricted pharmacist licensure in MA RI, with possible 90-day RI license if applicable.
Immunization Certification and BLS within 6 months of start date.
PGY-2 residency with board certification or 2 years clinical experience plus board certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and oversees pharmacy clinical services within scope of practice and policies.
Delivers patient care and education via medication reconciliations and counseling.
Emphasizes safe/effective drug use and identifies potential interactions.
Documents encounters and plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaborates with P&T to establish drug therapy protocols.
Contributes to quality improvement and performance initiatives.
