Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Pharmacist Specialist to coordinate and oversee clinical pharmacy programs. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication use, provide patient care, and contribute to policy development and budgeting for pharmacy services.

The role requires current licensure, PGY-2 in area of specialty, and strong leadership and teaching skills. Travel and hospital-based responsibilities may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and active licensure in MA or RI.
• Clinically oriented with strong communication and teaching abilities.
• Experience with immunizations and medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee hospital-based pharmacy clinical services within policy guidance.
• Provide patient care and education through med reconciliations and counseling.
• Document patient encounters and plan of care in the EHR.
• Support P&T activities and develop drug therapy management protocols.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and staff education in pharmacoeconomics and therapeutic drug policy.
