Job summary

Cencora is seeking a motivated, customer-focused retail/ambulatory pharmacist to join our team at Dallas Methodist Medical Center. The role emphasizes patient counseling, medication management, and teamwork in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate will have a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, an active license, and strong communication and leadership abilities to support quality care and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or PharmD with active state license.
• Strong communication and time management under high volume.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to resolve patient issues creatively to improve satisfaction.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical products and drug interactions.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications per standards and regulations.
• Perform medication reconciliation to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide excellent customer service and clinical care.
• Counsel patients on medications, dosing, and interactions.
• Engage with patients to address questions about their therapy.
• Review patient plans for therapeutic appropriateness.
• Assist with pharmacy operations, budgeting, and staffing.
