Job summary

Reliant Staffing Solutions in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our hospital team and ensure safe medication use. You will dispense prescribed medications, verify orders with physicians, and counsel clinicians and patients on doses, interactions, and precautions.

The role requires Michigan licensure, a PharmD or B.Pharm with internship hours, strong knowledge of pharmacy law, and ability to work in a high‑fatigue environment; weekend or call not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with internship hours and required on-the-job experience.
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the state of Michigan; continuing education required every two years.
• Physical stamina: able to stand/walk, lift up to 20 lbs; some heavier tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets, and fills prescriptions; checks allergies and interactions.
• Verifies orders with physicians; notifies of dosage issues or contraindications.
• Provides clinical information and troubleshoots problems with drugs to staff and community.
• Maintains patient profiles; updates orders, allergies, and diagnoses.
• Prepares/oversees IV meds; ensures accurate dosing and proper administration.
• Supervises technicians and ensures accurate preparation of medications.
• Maintains stock and monitors supply; keeps work area clean and organized.
• Participates in drug utilization reviews and quality assurance.
