Job: Ambulatory Pharmacist Clinician

Hours: As needed for coverage, day shift hours

Location: Various locations in the Lancaster area

Department: Pharmacy and IV Solutions

Summary:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services including pharmacist-managed clinics, transitions of care communication, and other direct patient care activities by designing, recommending, monitoring, and evaluating patient-specific pharmacotherapy. Serve as a clinical pharmacy expert for ambulatory service line aspects and be responsible for training, education, competency assessment, development, and implementation of clinical programs, committee activities, etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Pharm.D. and ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency required or equivalent experience.
  • ASHP-accredited Specialty Residency or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Current licensure or eligibility to reciprocate in Pennsylvania required.
  • Board Certification may be preferred depending on the specialty.
  • At least one year of practice experience in an ambulatory setting.
  • Be a healthcare provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs.
  • Three years of practice experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Additional Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong concentration skills to focus on tasks over extended periods.
  • Ability to learn and retain material, process multiple information bits simultaneously, and organize information effectively.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, and creative thinking skills, including applying scientific principles, thinking abstractly, and developing hypotheses and solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to situations involving interpretation of feelings, ideas, or facts, influence others, work within set standards, perform under stress, and handle variety and change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear exchange of information, cooperation, conflict resolution, and sensitivity to others.
  • Planning and control skills to identify task requirements and monitor progress.

Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Ph.D. (Required)
