Job summary

Children’s Minnesota is seeking a Pharmacy Specialist to lead and support specialty medication use across centralized and decentralized operations. You will collaborate with providers, nurses, and staff to optimize therapy, safety, and outcomes in a large pediatric health system.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, policy development, and cross-department coordination to ensure compliant, high-quality pharmaceutical care across on-site campuses.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in Minnesota within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification current or within 3 months of hire.
• Completion of a Specialty Pharmacy Residency or equivalent health-system experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication education and training to staff as needed.
• Quality oversight of specialty medication use and outcomes.
• Pharmacoeconomics and cost-management as applicable.
• Implement and operate collaborative practice agreements or protocols.
• Clinical decision-making during medication shortages.
• Educate patients, providers, and health-care team members.
