Job summary

St. Joseph's Outpatient Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), is hiring a PRN OR RN Circulator for the operating room. The center features multiple specialties and 10 ORs with a mission to provide patient-centered care.

The RN circulator will assess and plan perioperative care, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the OR team. PRN schedule includes no nights, no weekends, and no holidays, with opportunities to participate in quality improvement and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state.
• CPR and Advanced Life Support certification required.
• At least 1 year experience in intraoperative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care.
• Develop and execute individualized perioperative plans of care.
• Protect patient from injury and ensure correct site/side/level of procedure.
• Perform count procedures to prevent retained objects.
• Administer medications and maintain patient safety during perioperative period.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and participate in quality improvement.
