Job summary

Wilmington Surgcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as an Operating Room Circulator in our ambulatory surgery setting in Wilmington, NC. The role involves assisting in surgical procedures, coordinating patient care before, during and after operations, and ensuring sterile, well-prepared operating environments.

The ideal candidate is a professionally licensed RN with CPR and ACLS credentials and at least one year of OR experience, capable of scrub as well as circulate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• Minimum one year in the OR, ability to scrub as well as circulate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
