Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI)–SurgCenter of Camelback is seeking an OR Circulator RN to provide circulating nursing care during surgery. Responsibilities include patient positioning, prepping, and circulating cases, with emphasis on safety and aseptic technique.

Required is an AZ RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS as applicable, and a minimum of 2 years in Pre-Op/PACU, preferably in ambulatory surgical settings. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current AZ Nursing License
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU (ambulatory setting preferred)
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic technique and its implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Excellent teaching, communication and organizational skills
• Teamwork and customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Position the patient, prep the patient and circulate the case
• Provide nursing care during surgery and ensure patient safety
• Demonstrate accountability and ethical behavior in a fast-paced OR environment
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and staff
