Job summary

Olympic Medical Center is seeking an outpatient oncology registered nurse to join our medical oncology team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cancer patients, coordinate care with the wider health team, and educate patients and families.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, WA RN license, BLS within 30 days, and at least one year of ambulatory oncology experience; OCN certification strongly preferred or 12 oncology CE credits

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• RN license in Washington State required.
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• OCN certification strongly preferred; if not certified, complete 12 oncology CE credits annually (3-year total).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for medical oncology patients.
• Coordinate patient care with the health care team and external providers.
• Provide patient and family teaching and support a positive image of professional nursing.
