Job summary

MultiCare Cancer Institute in Washington state seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the ambulatory care team. You will provide high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary cancer clinic, coordinating with physicians, nurses and support staff.

The role supports triage, medication administration and patient education, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. WA LPN license and BLS are required; clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in Washington State or MLS endorsement.
• Current basic life support certification (BLS).
• Two years of experience as an LPN in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to plan and deliver patient care and optimize health.
• Performs triage in person, by phone, and via secure messages using protocols.
• Assesses and applies medical regimens under physician and nurse supervision.
• Delegates selected care tasks to qualified team members.
• Collaborates with clinic team to improve care quality and patient experience.
• Fosters a learning environment for patients and families.
• Advocates for ethical, holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
