Job summary
MD Anderson Cancer Center in The Woodlands, TX, seeks a Clinical Development Specialist to lead education, competency, and evidence-based practice across ambulatory oncology services on-site at Woodlands Campus. The CDS will partner with nursing leadership and clinical teams to improve patient outcomes and promote professional development.
Ideal candidates have five years of supervisory or leadership experience and at least three years of clinical nursing in staff development and competency
Qualifications
- Five years of progressive supervisory or leadership experience in nursing.
- Three years of direct clinical nursing including staff education or competency management.
- Experience implementing evidence-based practice and competency assessment.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual competency assessment and validation programs across ambulatory oncology.
- Design and implement education plans, onboarding, residency, and continued education.
- Develop tools, checklists, simulations, and remediation plans for competency.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Support regulatory readiness and quality/safety initiatives across campuses.
