Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse Resident for a 12-month, new graduate program designed to transition graduates into practice with dedicated mentoring by preceptors and clinical nurse specialists. The program includes twice-monthly resident classes with clinical experts and problem-solving support.

The ambulatory nursing role involves an interdisciplinary team, telehealth expansion, and a strong focus on evidence-based care planning for high patient volumes.

Qualifications

• Minimum ADN/BSN/MSN completed within the previous 12 months.
• RN license in the state of Wisconsin (or eligible).
• CPR/BLS certification upon hire; additional lifesaving certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory Nursing includes working with an interdisciplinary team across wellness, prevention, acute and chronic care.
• Telephone triage, telehealth growth, medication administration and patient education.
• Provide plan of care for high volumes of patients with independence and critical thinking.
