Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a full-time Ambulatory Nurse for Edwardsville, Illinois. The role supports day shift coverage with 40 hours per week, and is noted as no call, no weekends, no holidays; excellent team environment and patient care focus.

The ambulatory RN will collaborate with PCPs and specialists, provide direct patient care, and ensure adherence to protocols while guiding clinical staff in daily patient management. Eligible benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree required.
• 2–5 years supervision experience preferred; demonstrate leadership in clinical settings.
• RN with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred for advanced roles with 5–10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PCPs and Specialists to develop and implement care plans.
• Assess and evaluate patient’s physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Ensure clinical protocols and guidelines are followed per SOPs and compliance.
• Document patient assessments and treatments in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families with verbal and written instructions; assess learning needs.
• Recognize safety-sensitive requirements and maintain alert, safe practice.
