Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Ambulatory RN to support the spine program in outpatient clinics across Southeast Michigan, primarily based in Southfield and Novi. You will lead patient education, pre/postoperative care, and coordinate surgical readiness for the neurosurgery spine team.

You will use the nursing process to plan and deliver care, collaborate with Surgeons and the care team, and manage pre/postoperative needs while guiding patients through MyChart communications and medication

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification per Henry Ford Health policy.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering ambulatory patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and education.
• Delegate, supervise, and document nursing care and teaching for patients and families.
• Effectively communicate with the health care team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Demonstrate and maintain clinical competence in your area of specialty.
