Job summary

Penn Medicine in Downtown Philadelphia is seeking a Metabolic Management Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist for a full-time day shift in a hybrid role. You will provide comprehensive medication management to patients and stakeholders, review orders, and oversee pharmacy technicians and students across hospital sites based on operational needs.

Qualified candidates hold a PA Pharmacist License and PA Immunization License, and possess a BS in Science or a PharmD from an accredited college.

Active PA Immunization License (Required)
Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy (Required)

Responsibilities

Provide optimal pharmacy service to patients and health care professionals by designing, recommending, monitoring, evaluating and documenting patient and age-specific pharmacotherapy.
Demonstrate an awareness of patient and employee confidentiality and safety when carrying out daily responsibilities.
Verify, prepare, and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure positive outcomes of drug therapies and compliance with national and health system’s policies and procedures.
Provide concise, applicable and timely responses to drug information requests from health care providers and patients.
Participate in the management of medical emergencies.
Ensure adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines. Manage time effectively to fulfill practice responsibilities.
