Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or complete the specified courses within 12 months of hire.
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required if education is not met at time of hire.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment; recertification as required.
• Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant may be required, with CMA/MA certifications accepted from approved programs.
• State-specific registration requirements may apply for MAIII in certain regions.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patients or caregivers.
• Communicate data to licensed health care professionals.
• Contribute data to the patient's plan of care under provider direction.
• Explain the provider's care instructions to patient or caregiver.
• Assist with in-office procedures and support across patient lifespan.
