Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or completion of required coursework (Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmacology).
• Two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant if education is not met at hire; prefer healthcare setting experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patients and relay to the provider.
• Contribute data to the patient’s plan of care under provider direction.
• Perform routine ambulatory care duties including Vital signs, preparing for exams, and point-of-care testing.
