University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant/Ambulatory for UKHC. The position provides direct patient care and clinical support to providers within Internal Medicine, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, with flexible scheduling.

Requirements include a High School diploma and 1 year of clinical experience. Candidates must meet listed licensure options and maintain BLS certification. Pre-employment screenings may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Licenses/certifications listed include SRNA/CNA/RN student/EMT/LPN/MA/CST and BLS.

Responsabilités

• Obtain patient medical history and expedite patient flow.
• Room patients and stock clinic with supplies.
• Navigate the electronic health record system.
• Schedule and follow up on appointments; assist with medications and prior authorizations.
• Schedule tests, procedures and consults; communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians.
