Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with patient procedures and front- and back-office tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. The role requires MA/EMT training or 1 year in a clinical setting, and proficient EMR use.

You will gather patient information, assist with procedures, manage vitals, and coordinate records while maintaining safety and quality care in a busy clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of MA/EMT program or 1 year of experience required.
• One year experience in an ambulatory clinic preferred.
• Experience using EMR systems preferred.
• Current Healthcare provider BLS certification or within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments using EMR and provider guidelines.
• Check in/out patients and collect co-pays as applicable.
• Obtain prior medical records and test results.
• Document vital signs, weights, and other data in patient charts.
• Assist providers with procedures and patient education as needed.
• Maintain organized work areas and assist with front/back-office tasks.
