Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Family Medicine Clinic. The MA will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and support nursing staff to ensure smooth daily workflow in an ambulatory care setting.

Responsibilities include data collection, communicating physician instructions to patients, and performing point-of-care testing. Certification/registration options and BLS within 6 months are required or encouraged where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• Certification (CMA), CCMA, CMAC, NCMA, or RMA is preferred or required.
• ND MAIII registration when applicable; some states do not require registration.
• BLS certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and support nursing staff in daily workflow.
• Take vital signs and document health data for providers.
• Assist in patient care across the lifespan per physician plan of care.
• Communicate care instructions to patients or caregivers per provider directive.
• Perform point-of-care testing as part of routine ambulatory care.
