Job summary

Intermountain Health in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our ambulatory clinic team, caring for patients with acute and chronic needs and facilitating clear communication with patients by phone and in person. You will assist clinicians, gather relevant information, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, protect patient privacy, and help deliver high-quality care.

Requires MA program completion or 1 year MA experience or RN/LPN license; BLS; basic computer and EMR

Qualifications

Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year MA experience or a current RN/LPN license.
Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date.
Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

Providing patient care under the direction of the clinician and assisting the provider to gather relevant information.
Effective communication with patients via telephone and in person.
Team collaboration with cross-functional teams to support patient care.
