Cedars-Sinai is seeking a licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our ambulatory care team. The LVN will assist physicians and nursing staff with patient assessments, prepare patients for examinations, and perform routine nursing tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has a CA LVN license, BLS certification, IV/BW certification within a year, and at least 1 year of outpatient LVN experience. This role emphasizes high-quality patient care and strong teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program.
• Valid CA LVN license required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross required (BLS expiration date valid 60 days from start date).
• IV/BW (intravenous/blood withdrawal) certification (Must obtain within a year of employment).
• 1+ years of LVN experience in an outpatient setting preferred.

Aufgaben

• Sets up exam room and procedure areas.
• Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination.
• Reviews medications and medical records prior to visit.
• Documents vital signs and visit reason; maintains patient charts.
• Coordinates prescribed medications and intravenous therapies as directed by the provider.
• Provides basic patient care including vitals, diagnostic tests, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
• Observes patient condition and reports changes to the provider.
• Maintains patient care flow and responds to messages with provider input.
• Provides patient advocacy and supports care coordination.
• Performs quality assurance to ensure clinical compliance.
