UVA Community Health in Manassas, VA is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse Lead for ambulatory care. The role provides clinical leadership, supports CMA and LPN staff, and ensures care plans are implemented under physician supervision.

You will manage non-clinical tasks, educate patients, reinforce care plans, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on ASPIRE values and delivering high-quality patient care across age groups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinic setting required. Leadership, training, and process improvement preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia prior to onboarding.
• AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required. Ability to complete general and department role based specific skills validation and competency testing.

• The Licensed Practical Nurse Lead is responsible for non-clinical tasks, direct patient care, ongoing education, reinforcement of care plans, and providing general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction and supervision of the patient’s physician or licensed medical practitioner or designee in accordance with policy and procedure and competency to promote patient health and wellness.
• The Licensed Practical Nurse Lead serves as a clinical leader and serves as a resource for CMA and LPN team members, providing expertise and guidance as well as validating skills and competencies.
• This position requires providing services to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.
