Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Ambulatory department as a float. Work week is 40 hours with the schedule of Monday through Friday days, in Rochester, NY. The role focuses on patient care, nursing process, and collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, and ensuring exam rooms and supplies are prepared. NY LPN license and a valid NYS driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or ASN/BSN in Nursing.
• Current licensure in State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Valid NYS driver’s license.
• One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports per departmental protocols.
• Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record system.
• Maintain clinical areas: ensure rooms are stocked and ready for exams.
