Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for ambulatory care. The role involves providing holistic care under supervision, serving as the primary nurse for a provider within scope, and supporting patients along their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities include documenting medical histories, administering treatments, and counseling patients and families. Requires ND LPN licensure and IV therapy credentials if applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• If position requires IV therapy/management skills, North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with the state board and/or multi-state licensure privileges; maintains required competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Counseling patients and family on prevention and treatment plans.
