Job summary

The role requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, NY State RN license, and BSN preferred with enrollment in an accredited BSN program within two years and completion within five years.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred; must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within five years.
• Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse license; specialized certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status through interviews and comprehensive health assessments.
• Evaluate the patient’s psychosocial health status and identify cultural requirements.
• Develop criteria for measuring patient outcomes and establish individualized patient goals.
• Formulate and document the plan of care, coordinating with healthcare team members.
• Implement the plan of care, ensuring safety precautions and effective communication.
• Evaluate care provided and document effectiveness for performance improvement.
• Collaborate with care team members and assist during treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Provide wound care and administer medications correctly and safely.
• Participate in patient and family education, ensuring understanding of conditions and care plans.
• Perform related duties as required.
