Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification.
• IEMA accreditation.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging, including preparation and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and standards.
• Applies professional judgment to optimize image quality and address challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action if needed.
• Administers contrast per policy with appropriate screening and monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Identifies equipment issues and initiates follow-up through service processes.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains documentation in medical records and image archive system (setup, routing, results, charging).
• Upholds quality, safety, and compliance standards; protects patients and staff.
• Performs general and fluoroscopic radiography in the outpatient setting.
