Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Clinical Nurse II to triage calls, assess patient data, educate patients, and administer infusions for heart failure and transplant patients in outpatient settings.

The role collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective patient care. The new ambulatory clinic in the Farr Building will offer testing, imaging, and infusion center services.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• License Registered Nurse required.
• American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certification
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Develops a care plan, implements it, and evaluates outcomes.
• Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to deliver safe, efficient care.
• Works with physicians, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners to meet healthcare needs and advocate for patients.
• Maintains annual mandatory education requirements and pursues professional development.
• Demonstrates commitment to patients, staff, and the medical center with accountability for practice and safety.
