Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking an Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) at Lankenau Medical Campus in Ardmore, PA to support GI clinics. You will perform symptom assessment, GI triage by phone, coordinate tests and procedures, manage medications, and communicate clearly with patients and the care team.

This full-time, day-shift role offers a weekday schedule, no weekends, and opportunities for patient education, care coordination, and building longitudinal patient relationships.

Qualifications

• Ambulatory/clinic nursing setting experience; gastroenterology or procedural practice preferred.
• Strong telephone triage experience assessing GI symptoms and escalating as needed.
• Experience with medication refills, prior authorizations, and GI-related care pathways.
• Experience coordinating testing and procedures (labs/imaging, endoscopy scheduling, bowel prep education, follow-up).
• Graduate of ASN or BSN nursing program; current PA RN license; BLS.

In this role, you'll partner closely with our GI providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered ambulatory care-supporting patients across the continuum from new consults through follow-up care and procedure planning. You'll play a key role in GI symptom assessment and telephone triage, patient education, coordination of tests and procedures, medication management, and clear communication with patients and the care team.

Position:

Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory

Shift:

Full-time, Days Monday through Friday on site (no weekends or holidays)

Experience

• 1. Experience in an ambulatory/clinic nursing setting; gastroenterology or procedural practice experience strongly preferred.


• Strong telephone triage experience, including assessment of common GI symptoms (e.g., abdominal pain, diarrhea/constipation, nausea/vomiting, rectal bleeding) and timely escalation using clinical judgment.


• 2. Experience with medication refills, prior authorizations, and insurance/navigation processes; familiarity with GI-related medications and care pathways.


• Experience coordinating testing and procedures (e.g., labs/imaging, endoscopy scheduling, bowel prep education, post-procedure follow-up) is a plus.

Education

Graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN nursing program.

Licensures / Certifications

• 1. Current Pennsylvania RN license.


• 2. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
