Job summary

UW Medical Center Montlake seeks a Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Float Pool. This full-time role supports multiple ambulatory units with flexible assignments and ensures continuum of patient care across clinics.

The position emphasizes triage, InBasket and back-office nursing tasks, with opportunities to work in internal medicine, sports medicine, surgical services and medical specialties.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent ambulatory or medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Familiarity with phone triage standards.
• Active BLS certification.
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in a multitude of ambulatory settings.
• Performs phone triage.
• Answers patient MyChart messages.
• Provides independent patient assessments in specialty care settings.
• Administers medications and injections.
• Follows up on medical records and test results.
• Assists with patient admissions and record keeping.
• Coordinates medical and nursing care across the UW Medicine system.
• Documents patient care outcomes in our EHR system (Epic).
• Assists with minimally invasive ambulatory procedures.
