Job summary

UW Medical Center-Montlake in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Float Pool. The role involves floating to ambulatory units, performing triage, and supporting diverse clinics within UW Medicine.

The position requires 2 years of ambulatory/medical-surgical nursing experience, active RN license in WA, and BLS certification. Day shifts with some travel to offsite locations are involved.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent ambulatory or medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Familiarity with phone triage standards.
• Active BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in multiple ambulatory settings.
• Perform phone triage as part of daily duties.
• Respond to patient MyChart messages and coordinate care.
• Conduct independent patient assessments in specialty care settings.
• Administer medications and injections.
• Follow up on medical records and test results.
• Assist with patient admissions and record keeping.
• Coordinate medical and nursing care across UW Medicine system.
• Document patient care outcomes in the Epic EHR.
• Assist with minimally invasive ambulatory procedures.
