Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced RN to join the South Shore Endoscopy Center in Braintree, MA. The 32-hour-per-week role covers patient assessment, sedation support, recovery, education, and discharge planning in a collaborative ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, an RN license, and endoscopy experience. BLS certification is preferred, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and a strong commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Endoscopy experience required; ambulatory setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each patient and plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care.
• Provide safe care in the Post Sedation Care Unit (PSCU) per nursing standards.
• Monitor vitals, IVs, and equipment during recovery and communicate changes to the gastroenterologist.
• Administer medications for moderate sedation under gastroenterologist supervision.
• Assess discharge readiness and implement safe discharge plans.
• Document orders and nursing interventions; ensure continuity of care.
• Perform endoscopy procedures and maintain competency in endoscopy skills.
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding of instructions.
