Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles seeks a Supervisor of Clinical Operations RN to support physicians and ambulatory care staff with a blend of administrative oversight and hands-on patient care duties.

In this role you will coordinate back-office clinical functions, ensure staff competency and licensing, develop and implement standard operating procedures, and serve as a liaison among physicians, patients, and the front office.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 3 years experience in outpatient medical setting is required.
• Valid CA RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all administrative (back office) clinical functions of the medical practice; assures a competent back office workforce and oversees staff competency and licensing.
• Assist in development, review, and revision of standard operating policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
• Oversees and may perform administrative functions including triaging calls and serving as liaison between physicians, patients and staff.
• Coordinates or serves as a liaison for administrative support activities including facilities management, pharmacy, quality and HR.
• Controls wage and non-wage expenses including medical supplies in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
• Works with management, staff, and physicians in the clinical practices and related departments.
• Acts as a key point person in research, setup and implementation of new procedures and workflows.
• Prepares charts and ensures items are available to providers before patient care commences.
• Sets up exam/procedure rooms and assists providers as needed.
• May fulfill back-office duties including patient flow, charting, vitals, and designated clinical care calls.
• Performs designated diagnostic tests, administers vaccines, and conveys results to patients.
