Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City–Olathe Occupational Health is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Clinic RN. The role covers direct patient care in an ambulatory setting, using the nursing process and independent judgment to deliver quality care to patients of all ages.

This full-time day shift requires 6 months RN experience (2+ years for ambulatory clinic) and current RN licensure; BLS certification within 14 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ADN required (or equivalent).
• 6 months RN experience; 2+ years RN experience preferred for ambulatory clinic role.
• Current active RN license (multi-state or single state) in good standing.
• BLS/Heartsaver certification within 14 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within ambulatory setting using nursing process.
• Perform initial patient assessment via observation and chart review.
• Evaluate unstable/complex patient situations and intervene appropriately.
• Apply nursing judgment and collaborate with team.
• Document patient care, teaching, and referrals in charts; respond to calls.
