Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in ambulatory clinic per nursing process.
  • Perform preliminary patient assessments and coordinate follow-up with the healthcare team.
  • Evaluate unstable or complex patient care situations and facilitate appropriate interventions.
  • Use independent nursing judgment and collaborate with care team as needed.
  • Document patient care and teaching in charts and coordinate communication with patients and families.
  • Respond to patient treatment-related inquiries and referrals as appropriate.
