Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform technical, patient care, and clerical tasks in an ambulatory setting under direct supervision. Requires a high school diploma and completion of a 2-year Medical Assistant program, with CPR certification; bilingual Yup'ik/English preferred.

This on-site role supports physicians, PAs, NPs, and RNs in Bethel, Alaska. Experience of 6 months is preferred; a national CMA certificate is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal accredited training program as Medical Assistant (2-year).
• 6-month experience preferred; 6-month cert with 2 years' experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting under direct supervision of physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse.
• Provides support to clinical staff and assists with patient flow and documentation.
