IHA in Michigan seeks a healthcare data analyst to support analytics, documentation accuracy, and RAF scoring for ambulatory patient populations. The role emphasizes collaboration with providers to ensure high-quality coding and compliant documentation across multiple care settings.

Responsibilities include data synthesis, reporting, and supporting process improvements while adhering to hospital policies and patient privacy regulations. A CRC/CDI-type credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business, healthcare, Nursing or related field OR equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) or similar credential in medical coding or clinical documentation integrity.

Responsabilités

• Obtain appropriate clinical documentation through interaction with providers and coding staff to ensure documentation reflects level of services.
• Validate correct assignment of working HCC diagnosis affecting RAF scores in ambulatory populations.
• Conduct prospective/recent quality reviews of ambulatory patient records and document findings.
• Identify areas where documentation requires clarification and engage with physicians and providers to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure medical record documentation is accurate, complete and compliant, supporting medical necessity.

Formation

Associate’s degree in Business, healthcare, Nursing or related field

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, HIM or related healthcare field

CRC/CDI/CDS-O/CCDS-O/CDIP credential in coding or clinical documentation integrity
