Job summary

Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and provide nursing care in the back and pain procedure suites, with support via phone triage and InBasket tasks. You will assist physicians during procedures and monitor IV sedation, while delivering patient education to patients and families.

Required is a Michigan RN license and ACLS, with 3 years of adult sedation/monitoring experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• Three years' current experience providing care to adults requiring sedation/monitoring in ED/ICU/Flight/other procedural unit.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Experience starting IVs.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide nursing care to patients and families in the back and pain procedure suites.
• Provide support through phone triage and InBasket work.
• Provide nursing care to patients pre- and post-procedure.
• Assist physicians during procedures and monitor IV sedation.
• Provide patient education to patients and families.
