Job summary

Capital Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for an ambulatory setting. You will triage patients, document histories and vital signs, and coordinate care with physicians and staff.

The role requires an associate degree in nursing, an active RN license (NJ/PA or multi-state), and a current AHA BLS certification. One year of acute or outpatient experience is preferred. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• One year of experience in an acute, urgent care or outpatient setting.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Triages and assesses patients, determines clinical priority, and documents history and vital signs.
• Reviews and coordinates patient calls, schedules treatment per protocol, and prioritizes tests for clinicians.
• Performs nursing care, assists with procedures, administers medications, and documents in charts.
• Ensures accurate medication handling, calls prescriptions to pharmacies, and completes competency checklists.
• Maintains clear documentation and follows Capital Health policies to ensure quality care.
