Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an outpatient clinic setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process in coordination with the health care team.

Clinical competencies include triage, standing orders, documentation, and patient education. Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing program graduate, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS; 1 year of clinic or acute hospital nursing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
• Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Obtains and documents health history, chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors; assesses disease condition.
• Provides patient care based on guidelines, standards of care, and laws.
• Executes prescribed treatments and medications; monitors progress and patient response; consults with physicians as needed.
• Educates patients and families about health status and management of conditions.
• Documents patient assessment and intervention data using medical records forms/systems.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
• Tracks quality assurance data and monitors for acute and chronic care management.
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health; abides by service standards.
