Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide and coordinate nursing care in a non-acute ambulatory setting, such as a medical office or urgent care. The role requires adherence to nursing practice acts and Prisma Health policies.

The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications as prescribed, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care within ambulatory services.

Qualifications

• ADN or RN diploma with licensure to practice in the applicable state.
• BSN preferred but not required; licensure required for ambulatory care.
• Active RN license in the state of employment (or multi-state license).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and document patient care, including education and safety.
• Educate patients and families for post-visit self-care tasks.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols in ambulatory settings.
• Attend department meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
