Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's St. Anthony Summit Hospital in Colorado is seeking a Clinic RN to collaborate with the healthcare team and patients, promoting engagement, self-management, and safety in ambulatory care.

You will assess physical and psychosocial needs, develop and monitor care plans, administer IVs and medications, educate patients and families, document care, and use information systems to support decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site role with a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in participating state (NLC).
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records and clinical data.
• Evaluates patient's response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Provide patient/family education through assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability.
• Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching; promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect health, safety, and rights of each patient; maintain charts and records.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in timely manner.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
