Fox Chase Cancer Center in Jenkintown is seeking an Ambulatory Care Representative to manage patient access, registrations, and scheduling across ambulatory care areas.

The role requires rotating assignments, adherence to protocols, and collaboration with the Ambulatory Care Operations team to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate demographic and insurance details.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in a related role; fast-paced customer service in healthcare preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree can substitute for experience.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.

Responsabilités

• Handle patient access including check-in/check-out, registration and scheduling.
• Verify insurance, referrals, active accounts and demographics; manage scheduling lists.
• Rotate to all ambulatory care areas and follow departmental protocols.

Description

Responsible for all functions related to patient access in all Ambulatory Care areas including, but not limited to, patient check-in/check-out, registration related activities, insurance verification, referral determinations, active account verification, patient demographic entry and verification, scheduling of: new and follow-up appointments, lab and diagnostic services and chemotherapy treatment through direct patient interaction and multiple electronic scheduling worklists. Position requires rotating assignment to all point of service areas within department requiring learning and applying all processes specific to the situation. All activities are completed with adherence to departmental and institutional protocols. Accepts responsibility and accountability for assignment of outpatient functions under the direction of the Manager, Ambulatory Care Operations.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience

• 3 years experience in a related role; related experience in fast-paced, professional, customer service role can be considered in conjunction with healthcare or a Bachelor's Degree in lieu of experience Required
