Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking an active ambulatory care practitioner in Alvin, Texas, to treat patients nine half-day sessions per week, with one half day for administrative work. The ideal candidate will hold an MD or DO degree and a valid Texas medical license.

Responsibilities include participation in evening and weekend phone call coverage and attending necessary meetings as directed by the Medical Director. Preferred qualifications include DEA registration and ACLS/BCLS certification. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Active ambulatory care practitioner eligibility or certification.
• Registration with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) preferred.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) every two years.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients in clinic nine half-day sessions per week.
• Engage in evening and weekend phone call coverage.
• Attend meetings as required by the Medical Director.
