Job description
Overview

The UI Health Care Department of Pharmaceutical Care is seeking a 70% time clerk II to join our ACT Circle Pharmacy team. Under general supervision, the clerk performs and coordinates manual, clerical and processing work for related work areas to support specialty pharmacy operations. Duties may include ice pack and shipping container preparation, welcome packet assembly, report filing, assisting with supply and inventory stocking, kit assembly, non-prescription supply replenishment, deliveries between pharmacy areas, staging and packaging already dispensed prescriptions including matching dual identifiers, and printing labels for intended mail-out location. This position requires regular lifting of at least 25 lb. Shifts will be scheduled a minimum of 56 hours during a 2-week period in 4 to 8-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm, primarily Monday–Friday with occasional weekends and/or holiday hours.

Position Duties
  • Unloading and unpacking supply pallets and orders, requiring bending, moving, and lifting over 25 lbs.
  • Assist with other non-technician Specialty Pharmacy Team duties as workload allows
  • Answer internal phone lines to assist other hospital staff with various requests
  • Maintain area orderliness and cleanliness
  • Complete and maintain compliance with all competencies and educational requirements
  • May use credit card machines, bar code systems, computers, or cash registers
  • Assembles and organizes standard forms, correspondence, records, and maintains associated files
  • Prepares, proofs, collects, copies, and cross checks routine documents and generates summary reports; matches receipts/tickets to statements and maintains account records and other office records
  • Gathers, collates, processes requests, and classifies information according to established guidelines, requiring independent judgment in the selection of materials
  • Greets and assists the public, patients, students, faculty and staff, and provides information relative to the area of assignment and according to established guidelines

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
