AdventHealth is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This role focuses on educating patients and healthcare staff, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and participating in stewardship and quality initiatives.

You will supervise pharmacy staff across central and satellite areas, support transitions of care, and engage in practice innovation and clinical collaboration with various specialties. A Doctorate is preferred, with a Florida license mandatory.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Doctorate preferred.

Responsabilités

• Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team on medication use.
• Provide safe, timely, and cost-effective therapy; participate in stewardship, surveillance, and restricted-use programs.
• Engage in direct patient care and interdisciplinary rounds, ensuring smooth transitions of care from admission through discharge and follow-up.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and residents; support team learning and development.
• Identify, report, and help resolve medication safety events, adverse drug reactions, and errors.
• Review and monitor medication orders and patient profiles to prevent, identify, and resolve drug-related problems; adjust dosing as needed.
• Contribute to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities.
