Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise patient care using the nursing process. The nurse accepts responsibility for directing coworkers and delegating appropriately in care delivery.

You will provide family-centered care, educate patients and families from admission through discharge, document the nursing process thoroughly, and coordinate with physicians and the team to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR required.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care based on a family centered approach.
• Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
• Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process.
• Works closely with physicians and other team members addressing patient/family concerns to ensure a smooth transition of care.
• Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
