Job summary

Istss is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/License Vocational Nurse to support outpatient care across Veterans Health Administration clinics. The role emphasizes medication administration, patient assessment, and coordinated care with RNs and physicians.

The position requires full, active LPN/LVN licensure, English proficiency, and the ability to work under supervision in a diverse clinical setting. EDRP eligibility information is provided in the program materials.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship requirement for some appointments.
• Graduation from approved LPN/LVN program or equivalent.
• Current, full, active licensure as LPN/LVN in United States or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Experience as LPN/LVN in clinical patient care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical nursing care under supervision of RN or MD/DO.
• Administer medications via oral, topical, IM, IV as permitted.
• Document patient responses and report changes to RN/MD/DO.
• Perform vital signs, basic nursing assessments, and patient education.
• Support behavioral health care teams and coordinate with clinics.
