EMSA- Emergency Medical Services Authority seeks a Logistics Technician to oversee ambulance supplies and equipment, including receiving, stocking, issuing, and inventory control to ensure readiness.

The role requires troubleshooting and maintaining medical equipment, minimizing waste, and keeping accurate records while upholding safety and compliance standards in a high-demand EMS environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Current state driver’s license with no moving violations.
• Previous experience with maintaining inventory and counts preferred.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Ability to lift medical equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen to the satisfaction of the organization. Driver’s license must be issued within the past 24 months and not be provisional/permit status.

Responsibilities

• Maintains complete and accurate inventory and asset control. Manage records for medical equipment and supplies including exchanged items in those locations where first responder items are pooled.
• Inventory and restock medical equipment and supply in stockroom and on ambulances.
• Issues required supplies and equipment to appropriate Team Members and maintains inventory of items.
• Inspect, clean, and repair medical equipment as required.
• Completes records and reports in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoots medical equipment and ensures proper safeguarding of equipment and supplies.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area.
• Report any undesired abnormalities in supplies, inventory levels, equipment, ambulances, building, grounds/property, and staff.
• Punctuality and regular, predictable, reliable, consistent attendance are essential. Other essential functions include professionalism, the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), maintaining confidentiality, exercising sound judgment, being adaptable and flexible, following safety and compliance protocols, being accountable, complying with the Code of Conduct, organizational policies, procedures, practices, and expectations, and performing the core duties of the position either with or without a reasonable accommodation.
